"I often get asked- 'does your company have a style?'. My answer to this is always a firm 'No'!

You will see that this is very much evident in my Portfolio below.

The reason for this is that every client is an individual and I believe that my task should be to translate their unique thoughts and ideas into a personalised style of their own."

CLAPHAM

When this five bedroom house in Clapham was bought- the layout was very outdated- to the point that there was a loo in an outhouse in the garden. We gutted the whole thing and re decorated the facade so it matched the other properties on the street. The real highlight was a stunning new kitchen and bathrooms. White Designs was able to offer a full lighting design scheme for this project which proved to be a great success along side an AV plan.

WIMBLEDON

This Project was commissioned by property developers. When it came to selling the property, it was decided that the place should be furnished in order to sell not just a flat, but also a ‘lifestyle’- a theory which is proven to increase the market value of a place. The flat did sell quickly and the buyer bought it with all furnishings included.

WILTSHIRE

This was originally a lovely three bedroom cottage, set in the heart of a typically english village, but it sadly hadn’t been touched in years. The challenge was to modernise and extend it to allow space for extra bedrooms and a large kitchen without losing the charm and the character of the place. It also required all furnishing from scratch. We used a combination of bespoke pieces of furniture and beautiful antiques, some of which were sourced locally. The end result was to create a house which didn’t feel too ‘interior designed’ but had the comfort and charm as well as an element of fun. Some of the most commented on pieces are the table made from a vintage drum, a television stand made from a leather trunk, bedside lamps made from old fire extinguishers and a floor lamp made from a Cambridge Rowing Oar.

PIMLICO

This was a lovely light two bedroom flat in Pimlico which required a full furnishings makeover. Items were predominantly found in Vintage Markets and through antiques suppliers. These were then combined with more neutral furniture to give it a contemporary and fresh feeling but with a interesting edginess to it.

FULHAM

After living in this house for five years, my client's new husband moved in. They wanted to make it feel like a whole new home which reflected both of their characters.

CHELSEA RIVERSIDE QUAY

This six bedroom house was bought by a young couple in fairly good condition. The main focus of the project was re-desigining the master bedroom and the en suite bathroom to suit the style of the new owners. On top of this my team also re-painted the whole house, patched up cracks and gave it a general makeover to give it a new lease of life. We also used special techniques on the original ceiling and fireplace mouldings to get rid of the layers of thick paint which had covered them over the years, bringing back the small but important features that give a house character.

WESTMINSTER PENTHOUSE

When my clients bought this penthouse in Westminster, the place had fantastic views but not much else. We stripped it right back and fitted it out with fittings and finishes that were more appropriate to a contemporary setting. The bathrooms were a priority for the clients, who liked the idea of having a mixture of textures, including a feature wall where we used a split travertine mosaic; this rough surface greatly complimented the sleekness of the fittings. Another big element to the project was creating a storage space in every room that worked aesthetically but also practically.  All units were specifically tailored to the clients requirements, including the Living Room unit which housed a complex media unit and a feature lighting system. Lighting was a great consideration throughout the flat on all levels. The simplicity of the design means that the flat is stylish in its own right but does not detract from the wonderful views. BELGRAVIA

Before having work done, this three bedroom flat in Sloane Square was very dated so we stripped it right back to the basics and started again. The client was keen for a contemporary, minimalistic style in order to create the perfect backdrop for iconic furniture and artwork. With a neutral colour palette to work with, it was important to use a variation of textures including glass walls which added an interesting depth to the space and light. The Kitchen and the Bathrooms were a priority for the client who wanted to make the most of the space available. It was important to her that the rooms were modern and stylish, but also simple and clean at the same time.

CHELSEA

A lot of people prefer to make small changes, one at a time, which we are always happy to help with. We have been involved with many clients who have simply wanted a new set of curtains, a bespoke sofa made or a new fireplace put in. Not only can we reccomend reliable tradesmen and oversee the work, but we can also help with styling so that the new addition, whatever it may be, will work well with the existing surroundings. Similarly, we have worked on projects where the clients want to have just one room done, for example a new Kitchen or a new bathroom. The only thing to be aware of is that once you have seen what a difference a couple of changes can make, you may not want to stop there.

AIRCRAFT HANGAR

This was a unique project involving an old airplane hangar. My client wanted to update the existing building to house not only his airplane but also to use it as a place for meetings, social events and overnight accommodation when required. The drawings were to demonstrate the proposed layout and the room proportions.
